Let's make Captain Simmons famous, shall we?
Many inmates at St. Clair prison, Alabama http://doc.state.al.us/facilities/stclair.htm speak highly of Warden Ralph Hooks, according to Patrick. They freely spoke with Patrick when he was at St. Clair before he was transferred to Donaldson on October 2, 2002 where is he now. Unfortunately, Warden Hooks has been on leave and won't return to the prison until sometime in January (this month). So while the boss is away, the guards will "play". Please read the attached. It is a formal complaint on Captain Simmons at St. Clair prison. I have been collecting letters about Captain Simmons so this gentlemen who has given me permission to expose his name, is by far alone. Captain Simmons has earned a reputation of being one S.O.B. Needless to say, because we are all here witnessing these things, Captain Simmons (as you will read) has developed a particular dislike for the Patrick Crusade :-). I remember several years ago when we made Deputy Warden Jerry Ferrell at Holman Prison quite famous. He didn't like us either back then. He was transferred out of Holman and is now warden at Fountain but at the time, he was at least temporarily demoted. I remember when Honorio Montanez finally got himself out of prison after fighting for his freedom for 15 years, he told me, "My sister! let me tell you what Warden Jerry Ferrell said to me when I was leaving the prison. He said, 'Please do me a favor. P-l-e-a-s-e don't talk to Sherry Swiney. She's a crazy women!' " Honorio laughed knowing they both knew this was one request that would never be fulfilled :-). Well, we haven't heard any really negative reports about Warden Jerry Ferrell. Maybe it's because he knows we in Alabama are keeping an eye on him. Maybe it's because he's decided it's much easier to do the job he is paid to do -- according to all the human rights rules in Alabama, who knows? Indeed I have written to Prison Commissioner Donal Campbell about the Captain Simmons situation, but of course, there's been no response from the guy who promises to obey his governor by making everyone accountable for their actions. Perhaps he will take note this time around, as copies of this message are being broadcast to Donal Campbell and Governor Bob Riley as well as you all. We have asked for a formal outside investigation into the actions of Captain Simmons, for an entity cannot investigate itself impartially. We have not received a response to that request. We are hereby asking again for a formal independent investigation into the actions of Captain Simmons for violations of human rights under the basic rules and standards for prisoners in Alabama.I urge all of you to read the article by Dr. Richard Korn, titled "Correctional Officers-Good, Bad, and Indifferent - by Richard Korn, Ph.D., formerly Director of Treatment, Jew Jersey State Prison" - you find this article near the bottom of the page at richard_korn_died.htm Captain Simmons falls into the category of Correctional Officers - Bad. That's not what we as citizens of Alabama are paying Mr. Simmons to do. He has a peculiar dislike for Patrick Crusade because we are turning his world around, in wanting him to do the right thing with inmates. No one is above the law and that includes prison guards. In my own mind, they fall from the category of Correctional Officer to prison guard when they act like animals themselves. Please read the attached (especially the last two pages - 403c and 403d). Letters to the governor and commissioner to ask for an investigation into the activities of Captain Simmons would be greatly appreciated. Here, Mr. Simmons is not beating anyone (as has been reported by other inmates). No, here, Mr. Simmons is just violating Donal Campbell's orders with regard to Rule 403 as amended by Commissioner Campbell. 1000 St. Clair Road, #165590 (G3A-101), Springville, AL 35146-5582 You
will all recall the message that was sent out not too long ago with the
subject line regarding violation of Rule 403, "Let's make Captain Simmons
famous, shall we?" That memo went out to many people in Alabama who
subsequently emailed or snail mailed the information on the unethical actions
of Captain Simmons at St. Clair Prison. That resulted in the Alabama
Ethics Commission sending Alvin Daniels some forms to fill out which he
has done. Now ---- we all need to keep an eye on things because it's
going to get rough inside for him since he is not receiving a lot of backing
from the other guards in there (big surprise???). Please read Alvin's
letter (3 pages) to bring you up to date. The main message in his letter
is on page 3 where he writes: "But, the bottom line is WE MUST HAVE OUTSIDE
CITIZEN SUPPORT AND
Blessings to all,
"All truth goes through three stages. First
it is ridiculed. Then it is violently opposed.
