CORRECTIONS OFFICERS CHARGED WITH BRIBERY - November 13, 2002 - Four corrections officers at a privately run annex to the D.C. jail have been indicted on charges that they smuggled drugs, pagers and cash to inmates in exchange for bribes offered by undercover FBI agents, prosecutors
said recently. 

 
Crime and Punishment - Rape in Prison W A S H I N G T O N, April 17 - If you watch any cop shows on TV these days, or any prison shows for that matter, the subject is going to come up. Sometimes it's serious, sometimes it's the subject of jokes. But we all seem to take it for granted. Go to prison, and you run the risk of being raped. The television cops use that threat to convince television criminals to confess. Or they laugh knowingly when a bad guy is sent off to jail. But this is a very real problem. By Leroy Sievers

 
Medical Marijuana Alert: Supreme Court/Congress - Former Patrick Crusade Member, Candyce Hawk urges all of us to react now to the Supreme Court's newest ruling and asks us to support H.R. 1344, the "States' Rights to Medical Marijuana Act," a bill that would simply get the federal government out of the way and allow state governments to make their own decisions on this issue. Supporting and passing H.R. 1344 would show that Congress respects democracy and the will of the voters.
