Inmate's death subject of prison probe The Associated Press State prison officials have launched an investigation into the death of an inmate, authorities said Monday. Corrections Department spokesman Brian Corbett said in

The Alabama Department of Corrections says an inmate
at the Donaldson Correctional Facility in Jefferson County died Friday,
January 21.
According to the department, Charles Agee died "after being subdued in the medical clinic" at the facility. The Department of Corrections said in a press release a full review of the circumstances surrounding Agee's death is being conducted. Agee was 47 years old and was serving a 25-year sentence for murder. |
