Subject: UPDATE ON the Probe of Florida PrisonsUPDATE ON the Probe of Florida Prisons
FBI and FDLE investigations of illegal activities in the Florida Department of Corrections continues. If you aren't sure of all the allegations about the department, I've been posting everything on
Allen Clark's
http://www.angelfire.com/oz/today/acclark.html
and James Crosby's
http://www.angelfire.com/oz/today/jamescrosby.html
webpages. As a result of all the information prison workers have conveyed to us, MTWT has been included in two news reports in the past couple of day.
1. A video on FOX 30 WAWS News.
Florida prison guards facing jail time
Inmates aren't the only ones in Florida prisons with a history of crime.
http://www.fox30online.com/mediacenter/?videoId=22872. and an article in the Palm Beach Post
Florida prison system probed
http://www.palmbeachpost.com/state/content/state/epaper/2005/10/19/m1a_doc_1019.htmlI want to thank everyone who has helped thus far in the investigation. As webmistress for MTWT, I have to apologize for being behind in posting everything to the site. I have been so overwhelmed with new and excellent leads that I had to find a faster and more efficient method to transfer it to the reader. To achieve that end, we have created a forum where everyone can insert information, voice complaints, offer suggestion; file rebuttals, give a defense and carry on a discussion about anything in the Florida Department of Corrections (FDOC). This will eliminate the waiting time for information to be displayed on the MTWT site. Everyone can share information more quickly and the information will be closer to real time. We believe this will enable readers to form enlightened/educated opinions.
We understand that there is a real risk of retaliation when an officer, family member, or prisoner tries to report an errant guard's behavior. Therefore, every precaution is made to safeguard anonymity for those who need it.
We pray that all people within the FDOC, including Staff, Inmate, Administration, Visitors, News Media and Public Voices be heard with an equal volume here! http://floridastateprisons.net/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl
There is so much more criminal activity yet to uncover for real reform to take place. We continue our plea for information that MTWT, the media, the FBI or FDLE can investigate. If you can share information for the probe into Florida's prisons you can contact me:
