Many prisoners would like to have contact with someone on the outside. These pen pal programs can take the place of other high tech forms of communication such as cell phones and the
Internet for prisoners. Although these programs can't organize communication information as quickly as contact center software does, they can be a true lifeline and help prisoners find companionship.
#1 Pen Pal Site for Prisoners (PrisonVoice.com) - Added October 14, 2009 - Many of these men and women prisoners do not get any mail. Some spend as many as 23 hours a day in their cells. Other inmates are waiting to be executed on death row. Some inmates even sit alone in solitary confinement. A pen pal may be the only relationship they ever have.

WRITELINK PEN PALS - March 18, 2005 - This page is a FREE webpage for inmates to advertise for penpals. Some of these inmates are in prison and are locked up 24 hours a day. These men and women just want someone to take a little time out to share with them. A lot of these inmates have lost their families and friends due to being incarcerated. Some of these inmates are guilty, but some of them are innocent of the crime they are serving time for. And a lot of them are on death row. Can you imagine being locked up for years and years then being executed for a crime you did not commit, take a few minutes to look around the site, make your own mind up, then think? could you give up a little of your time to write to someone who may never see the outside world again, and the only way they can is through your eyes and your words on paper. All ad's on this website are the inmates own words. They have sent me their ad's and photo's and these are kept on file. We only place inmates on this site if we have received a letter from them or from someone on their behalf, we do not get information about them from anywhere else. In America you could even be imprisoned for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, your colour, creed, or race. This should not happen, but some of these people are poor and cannot afford a good attorney and guess where they end up? Yes serving time or DEATH ROW.
IF YOU DECIDE TO WRITE TO ANY OF THE INMATES ON THIS WEBSITE PLEASE REMEMER DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY.
